The audio signal passes through the cinch input sockets to the grid of the double triode — the first amplifier tube — and is amplified by voltage.

Via a galvanic coupling (without coupling capacitor), the amplified signal is fed to the control grid of the second triode. This has the task to supply the current to control the power triode.

The coupling takes place via a high-quality coupling capacitor to decouple the signal alternating voltage and to supply the control grid of the end triode. The end triode works in single end class A mode. The operating point of the end tube adjusts itself via the cathode resistance (self-biasing).

The high-quality output transformer decouples the high-impedance, high-voltage part of the amplifier from the low-resistance loudspeaker connection.
